Unique / staff change
Poe 2 has the same problem than poe 1 where most unique are just garbage, contrary to poe 1 tho currently there is way less number of unique so the gap is felt way harder.
I really do hope GGG address that, because some of them have cool mechanics but are gatted bcs A they can't roll to lvl 90 (so minus 1 socket and gem level) B the base stat are to restrictive, like the dusk vigil staff has a realy cool effect but equiping it simply mean loose + 7 level to your skill effectivly 70 % more damage just from that one stat. I'd argue the solution is simple, change these unique to have a wider affix range depending of item level in the case of vigil a level 90 could roll a + 200% spell damage compare to the base +80% max. Or perhaps something that i personally would find more attractive would be to add random affix roll. Like in the same use case a vigil 90 could gain up to 2 / 3 affix based of a selection (+ lvl to fire gem / fire damage) Something comparable is the staff situation, basically anything that you would want to do on a staff you can do it better on wand + focus. Not only could you have higher stat over all but you are also more polivalent given you get access to 12 total affix instead of 6. Staff do not have any identity in the game, thus they do not have a reason to exist. edit : Also i think unique defining build are cool, and i don't think there is nearly enough of them.
