Warrior fix(s)
feedback from a level 91 warr named chudman(with 15div+ value total in gear, and unlike Elon, an experienced D2/pvp difficult & balanced video game player):
The great things about warr in PoE2: 1. aoe is quite good (lots of phys/fire dmg w/ my setup) 2. tankiness late is decent espec with spirit passives, going max resists with jewels, shield, ect., ect. but you still die to bosses very fast and need to dodge/pay attention (only late game though) 3. boneshatter is extremely fun ability that provides reactive and intense gameplay 4. leap slam is a ton of fun (you can leap over some nice areas on occasion) 5. aftershocks are very nice power/stun prime w/ warr minor issues 1. leap slam: should always go off (if mouse hover area is non-leapable leap up) this kills me more than anything with all the walkable map rng POE2 has 2. rolling slam: sometimes pushes mobs sometimes does not (even small mobs) this can be frustrating not knowing where you will end up in a game that positioning is very important. Make it simple, only doesn't push unique mobs. Most good players faceroll rares and below already anyways. 3. auto attack (i.e. mace strike) support gems for AA should be an exception and allow you to share across 2 skills since you can't use both weapon sets at the same time. I have some fun dual wield setup that is a bit better vrs unique bosses but then it messes up my wep+shield auto attack....illogical af I can only have 1 of 2 weap swaps setup that uses a similarly gemmed AA. 4. auto attack should also be like other skills that allow you to check button 1/2 weapon slots 5. herald of ash gem quality makes it worse at least within the description (desc says: gem quality makes it take more overkill dmg to ignite...now it might actually be a buff but the desc basically says more gem quality=worse herald of ash due to it being slightly harder to proc. major issue: single target dps is horrible, 10 to 20x less than other classes, using similar gear, without perfect strike (which isn't very good vrs bosses since you have to stand still so long) major issue suggestion: fix armor break equation (barely increases DPS vrs uniques (which is only real reason you would want it). This is quite illogical since removing 20k+ armor seems like it would go from 80% reduction to 0% reduction therefore a 5x phys dmg boost but is not even close to this. It would be different if I didn't see rangers and monks do so much lightning DPS. please just publish armor and armor break equations so we can debate them! Last bumped on Jan 10, 2025, 6:16:49 PM
