Gear not giving proper stats regarding spirit

The main issue I am having (in POE 2) is that any time I equip any gear that increases spirit, my spirit stat does not increase or increases incorrectly. For example, I currently have 60 spirit stat permanently and when I equip enfolding dawn pilgrim vestments (which grants +100 spirit), my spirit stat only increases to 64 instead of 160. This happens with any gear I equip that has spirit to it. Such as when a scepter is equipped, I do not receive any spirit stat increase. Originally, this error did not occur until I unequipped the enfolding dawn pilgrim vestments armor piece.

I had this issue check you Ascendancy Example: if you are a monk Invoker there is a skill called Lead me Through Grace... It's great but there is one drawback to it you Cannot gain spirit from Equipement.
I was racking my brain when I respecing and I finally noticed that so I removed that Ascendancy and now I have the correct spirit. So check your passive tree. |

yes I am a monk. I went ahead and check. I do not have Lead me though grace. I have been trying different things but cant get it to work. I had to make a new character. I just cant find out what wrong with him.
