Seems to be the MO anymore, all companies expect you to use social media to keep up with them. To the point if their email CS ghosts you for weeks and you can make a single tweet and suddenly they care.

you're partially correct. Yes social media is used but it's two main ones and its instagram and tik tok. most platforms don't use twitter as a source to post PR information because it's unreliable and filled with bots and hate speech. Twitter is a thing of the past (half the people call it X while the other half call it twitter) but it makes sense why they haven't gotten with the times.

dude my comment doesn't change the fact that this seems pretty "news" worthy and it's not on their front page. If me saying something as basic as "wow this communication is fucking terrible" makes a AAA developer stop doing pr, we have a larger problem on our hands.
