Book of knowledge failed to use item

Just picked up book of knowledge after defeating the boss on blooming field t14 map tried using it and got the "failed to use item" error. The Book dissappeared amd points were not given. also tried relogging didnt help

I also had "Vanquisher's Book of Knowledge I" drop, when I used it after killing the boss I got no points.
