Boss difficulty
Now I will admit my character is only lvl 16 and this is my 2nd character of the same class because I got to a boss that for me could not be killed and I could not find a way to respec the character without using the hooded man who charged way too much gold for the low levels.
My real point is why are the bosses so damn hard, im going to use POE 1 as an example, at lvl 16 your fighting in sarn and the area bosses in that map arent even as hard to kill as a basic lvl 1 mob in this game where as the bosses in POE 2 at lv 16 are like fighting the endgame bosses in POE 1 it makes no sense. Dont get me wrong here im not crying about the difficulty lvl what I am commenting on is the complexity of the attacks that each boss has, take for example The mad Wolf of Ogham he starts out as the lord of the manor you get his health to 50 percent then he changes into a wolf, you keep attacking then he changes back into the lord you keep plugging away then he changes into a wolf with full health and a very big sword but you manage to get his health down then he makes a ring of ice cloud and spawn lots of annoying little friends while ramming you at max speed but still you fight then he freezes you and you die instantly. Remember this is the end of the first area your first real boss. Im just trying to figure out why you made every boss so damn difficult. After 20 deaths on this character and about the same on my other character it starting to bore me. I really enjoy the game but maybe I should have waited till next year for the final release. Just so you no about my other character he got to the second area and the first real boss the Hyena raider think thats what hes called, that guy is a joke you fight him then 6 mobs just like him throwing spears at you and then the 20 hyenas he sends to destroy you again and again. Dont no if there is any more after that as thats where I gave up. Last edited by ExileMigration#0757 on Jan 5, 2025, 9:10:40 AM Last bumped on Jan 5, 2025, 2:02:05 PM

Your first character should be a relatively easy class - eg a Necromancer. This way your first time through you have some advantages when the game is hardest.
After you get one character through about Act 3, you can start your "main" character - you'll have saved some low-level gear, skill gems, support gems and gold. This makes playing a harder class (eg Monk) much easier. |

Yeah, the count is an awesome fight. IMO the next best one won't show up until Act 3 with the viper.

First mistake - you compare poe1 with poe2 but the playstyle is slightly different. Dodge roll is your friend.
I'm playing with my wife so it is a bit hard to compare but we needed around 10 tries for the first time for the count as Sorc + Merc. 2-3 tries to figure out the mechanics and then real tries. But you should be a bit more "wipe resistant" if you want to play poe2 because there are some bosses where you maybe need hours for the first time (Viper Natzi). Fun fact: Our kids played poe2 for the first time yesterday and we were surprised as the killed the first boss 2nd try with Sorceress and Witch. They are 8. |

So what your saying is this is a game not designed for single players but for teams, that would make sense.
