Mapping with Tempest Flurry is frustating
|
When moving, your character will avoid most obstacles when possible. This isn't the case for skills that moves the characters, for example Tempest Flurry.
Most maps are also pretty narrow with a lot of obstacles (pillows, pools of waters, trees) that aren't very visible when there's already a lot going on (delirium, ground effects, etc) and moving pretty fast. This makes the experience of mapping exceedingly frustrating. I spend more time stuck in things than actually mapping. It really makes the mapping gameplay loop terrible. This is why I hate every forest map with a passion. Especially Blooming field, constantly getting snagged up on the terrain and small edges of obstacles.

" To be honnest, I can count the maps I like to run with Tempest Flurry on one hand. the numbers of narrows maps with pillow, forest maps, maps with pool of water everywhere, etc is astonishing. I really hope GGG is gonna work on that. Finding ways to be good at mapping shouldn't be punitive, and right now it's a curse. Last edited by Eynix#2213 on Jan 5, 2025, 6:57:55 AM
