Tempest Bell Despawns/Loses Built Combo Charges When Using Flasks

Recently I noticed that my Tempest Bell would immediately despawn (before its skill duration expires) whenever I use any flask. Likewise, any combo I built towards summoning the Bell would be reset whenever I would use a flask. This was a recent occurrence and it basically makes Tempest Bell useless at high mana costs, as you cannot rely on Mana Potions at all, as the Bell would immediately disappear on flask usage.


I started experimenting with what causes this issue, as on the forums, it seems to be a re-occurring bug. Some people mentioned it might be tied to corrupted gear, others say it has to do with Eternal Youth keystone. I tried removing my gear and un-speccing Eternal Youth, but the bug would still persist.

I realized that if I had too many red support gems (Strength), linked to my Tempest Bell, it would cause this bug to occur. Even though with my current strength of 55, I can have up to 11 red support gems, I am forced to let the count remain at 9/11 red support gems total. The moment I use 10 or more red support gems across all skills, and there is at least 1 red support gem in my Tempest Bell, this despawning on flask usage bug activates.

TLDR, if you are having this Tempest Bell Bug, try removing Red Support Gems slowly from your character and see if it removes the bug (try to have at least 2 empty red support gem slots in your allocation).
