Wipe Server pls!!!(read)

Please reset the server! This is a serious issue. It was easy for you to nerf the "cast on" mechanics, but now the problem is much bigger! There are streamers blatantly engaging in RMT (Real Money Trading) on Twitch and YouTube, and likely elsewhere. They are even defending the process, having earned over 900 Divines in 1-2 days, converting it all into money, and worse, using hacks.
We are playing the "BETA" of the game, and things like this can happen—someone will always find a way to break the rules. However, since we're in BETA, you should reset EVERYTHING. If it was easy for you to heavily nerf certain builds, it should be just as simple to wipe everything clean. Or are the nerfs more important than addressing hacks and exploits? And please, start banning players publicly. If public bans are not possible, at least issue bans. I'll give a clear example: Venon3p (a Brazilian player) has a sponsorship on YouTube from an RMT site (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrKNi8waEU_Rda_w_GYIxRw). I have nothing against people playing NFT or Play-to-Earn games, but PoE/PoE 2 is not that and has rules against such practices. Note also that account hacks started happening after player Rob2628 managed to build a 900 Divine setup in just two days, despite previously struggling to kill bosses. I'm not saying he did anything wrong! What I'm saying is that the video sparked corrupt ideas that were put into practice. Do people really believe that using a program to check prices, which requires your login and password, is a "reliable" tool? The hard truth is that PoE 2 is already a massive and wonderful game. If we look at the Steam charts, we can see the immense number of players online, even a month after release (and this is just on Steam, not counting other platforms). History speaks for itself: wherever populations gather, the corrupt find ways to thrive. n summary, it's time to make the tough decision: you need to reset the server and fix the errors. We all know that when one exploit exists, others are likely to be discovered, possibly through similar methods. It’s a difficult step, but a game like this cannot tolerate such issues or it risks being overshadowed before its official release. And remember: WE ARE IN BETA (early access). It saddens me to think I might lose everything I’ve worked hard to achieve, especially since I only play 3–4 hours a day. But I believe this is the right price to pay for the long-term health of the game. Last bumped on Jan 4, 2025, 3:59:27 PM

Just have a new seperate fresh EA server, Those who want to play on the one already going can stay, the ones who want a fresh start can do so. I'm all in for a fresh new server.

" Can you just report these players? They would likely get banned, and them getting banned is better than them just destroying the next economy. |

There is no real long term health for a beta econonomy. I mean, it will obviously last longer than any league, but it's bound to have loot rate adjusted, and we're bound to face many more exploits in the coming months... and that's what a beta is for.
GGG should simply ban those who obviously use these exploits and the rest of the playerbase would be in a better condition. During beta, they want us to try new stuff, hopefully discover bugs, give our feedback and try to make the game better. The economy is bad, and will be bad regardless of a server wipe or not... as something else would come up one or two weeks later that would break said economy again. Making us start new characters again after less than a month simply would push many players out of the game. I know I wouldn't come back until full release if wipe our characters as I would feel like they don't value our time. Also, I don't want to go through the pain of fully leveling a new class without having some good gear to help ease the early leveling curve... or they would have to keep our characters levels and provide us with very good gear related to our level (a few uniques and good rare base for each build) and free respec for the rest of the beta for me to accept an otherwise full economy wipe, and we all know that would be too complicated for them to pull that out. " Launching a Seperate EA Server is not "Making Us Start New Characters Again After Less Than A Month" |

" +1 I got 3 characters near 90. I'm not rich but just trying things. I'll have a good idea how to league start when the time comes, I don't need an economy for these things. That said the only reset that I'd be happy with at this time is if they deleted everything besides your character level, including gear you are wearing. I could recover faster than leveling in the somewhat slow campaign. But even still, that would be too much for some with more investment than even myself. I hope they level it in even its bad state for at LEAST another 2 months, if not the 5 more months I imagine. Last edited by Ner0suM#7473 on Jan 4, 2025, 12:20:51 PM

the economy is not a priority in early access. this is for testing and building the game. its not done cooking yet and u want to play it like a regular release game. go kill monsters and report bugs. stop hideout flipping, it doesnt help the game move forward

Or just play SSF. Trade is beyond easy!

" best thing is not banning them now, let them find all those bugs, and when POE got released, banned them. |
|
" Yes, that is exactly what it means... |
