Not only do the merk's skills have no practical synergy and this entire specialty is completely and utterly useless against bosses.

I just watched how an archer plays through lightning and it's such dishonest nonsense, a mercenary doesn't even have 10% of that.

All his skills are slow, require constant reloading, grenades are completely useless. This class has not a single usefull skill combination for bit fat hp pool

Dont even tell me about plasma blast. You'll be dead 10 times before you can even fire it.

In my opinion, crossbows are a complete and utter failure as a class of weapon. Archers have a quiver why can't we get something like a set of ammo? There are so many things you can do with it. The crossbow itself is just terrible.

my titan does ok with grenades. although crossbows have some serious annoyance when you're trying to play like they want you to and dodge everything.

But yes, deadeye, invoker, and stormweaver are completely broken. I hope they just nerf them all to be on par with mace warrior.

OK, now what would you suggest as actionable steps or solutions to address the issue?

I could see something in the design philosophy such as "Crossbows should be inherently 1.5x more powerful than bows because of the lack of quivers".

In my opinion, this is a fundamental mistake in the mercenary's game design. They could have given us some kind of ammo set instead of a quiver and not made all the skills of a certain element.

You could have taken ice ammo, for example, and then your rapid shot would shoot ice instead of fire. Such flexibility would allow for very good experimentation.
