Uniques and Orbs of Fusing

So I have a Unique: red socket top left, green socket top right and blue socket bottom right. Only the top two sockets are connected and when I have used Orbs of Fusing on the item (a few times now) it just seems to alternate between either pair of sockets connecting but never all three.

Before I continue to use more orbs I thought it might be sensible to ask first; do Orbs of Fusing have the ability to connect all sockets on Uniques?

Is it still just a question of luck, or maybe the odds are fewer?

Yes it will. How I see the mechanic of Orbs of Fusing is that they first remove all links on the item and then place random links. That is probably not how they are coded or anything, but you have to know that all links are rerolled, including the number of them. The probability for getting more than 2 links is kinda low, so it will take potentially 10-20 Fusing orbs to get there.

The odds of getting them all linked are about 30%, but you can't repeat the same exact link configuration you currently have, so that boosts it up a tad, depending on the current link configuration. 4 fusings "should" get the job done, but of course, it guarantees nothing.

Odds on linking a 4 linked item are about 1:12 (or about 8.3%), based on my rather extensive research, which fits the odds given by Repeats.

Do you have more data on this? Like chance of 5 linking a 5 slot, 4 linking a 5 slot, 4 linking a 6... so on?
