GGG: Please permanently ban all those who exploited instance dupe/Temporalis/craft abuse
Please release a statement on how you will address it.
Please do the right thing by permanently banning all involved, and show that you care about regular player base. Not doing so would be a big middle finger to all of the regular players. Last bumped on Jan 3, 2025, 6:03:01 PM

Bans in this game are weird. I guess cuz it runs off leagues.
No one got banned for using 11 link skills in Necropolis. People got banned for standing outside in Ultimatum. In both cases the players knew they were taking advantage of a bug. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

This is completely different. This affected the entire economy due to malicious abuse.
I meant permanently ban them from PoE1 and 2, and never let them create an account. I guess you're not familiar with the situation if you're taking it lightly. |

You think they will ban a bunch of people that are sharks in the game, spend a copious amount of time in it, and make them a lot of cash?

I personally feel you're simply jealous that some other people were cleverer than you and you lost at the global trade PvP. Well some might be banned, but you still aren't going to win at global trade PvP, not against clever people, nor against the infinite legions bots, nor against the money traders.

" Haha yeah what this guy said! Murder happens regardless of it being illegal so we may as well just let people do it LOL!!!!! You are just jealous that you lost the murder fight. You'll never win the murder pvp so stop expecting consequences for the #WINNERS HAHAHAHA ![]() Last edited by JODYHiGHR0LLER#6171 on Jan 3, 2025, 2:40:29 PM

Jealous of what, incoming permanent ban? Historically, GGG has taken this stuff very seriously. Hope that has not changed.

Personally I don't mind obvious and clever use of mechanics to gain an advantage when what you're doing is ENTIRELY within what the game designers intended -- I.E. if the Devs forgot about corner cases.
A good example might be standing outside of Ultimatum OR using the Nameless Seer to scry div cards onto a low level map in order to get ONLY high value cards from that low level map. I don't really like bans for this level but some type of wrist slap for those that distorted [destroyed?] the economy may be appropriate. On the other hand if there are uses of the "instance crash / reversion" system that fly in the face with other understood rules involving crafting [Undoing Vaal orbs so you can try again] then I'd tend to be much harsher with this sort of thing as it's less "clever use of mechanics" and more "i know I'm wrong but doing it anyway". For offenses that are more in the middle a medium level punishment would be fine. Summary: Let any punishment fit the severity of the "crime" |

So then where would you rank infinite runs with the same relic?
I think a good way to handle this situation is to cast off all the offenders to SSF, never to be allowed in trade league again. We can call this move the path of exploitation. Last edited by N3vangel#0037 on Jan 3, 2025, 3:04:15 PM

100% needs to get banned. They need to set down the foot on this or there will be an endless cycle of people exploiting every single thing they can until it is patched. This has been plaguing ARPGs for far too long. It is easy to spot who are exploiting vs those that do an honest test->(at max a retest)-> report bug.
Economy impact exploits needs to stop and GGG needs to show their players that they take action. |
