Essence Monster Bug - Monsters "spawn in" normally and are invulnerable

Spec'd into Essence on my tree and a couple of times now I have walked up to an essence only to have the essence monster "spawn" in instead of waiting for me to release it. It invariably happens only with monsters that "spawn in" due to player action (walking into their zone of protection, attacking a certain enemy, etc.)

In this state, the monster generally doesn't have the buffs it should have, but it DOES seem to be unable to be either inspected or damaged, and thus immortal. They will typically act and look very buggy (using Bilateral not NIS) and constantly stuck in place but will zip toward you as the game processes things. Attacks will look normal if you allow them into attack range, as if the monster and bug have fixed themselves but they have not.

Currently, they reset themselves if you go back to the actual essence and release it normally, but that can be difficult to do when under attack depending on the monster. Your best option should this happen is to slowly lead the monsters away from the essence a reasonable distance and then run back and release them as quickly as possible with the intent to kill on release. It helps significantly if you kill most of the monsters in the area so you don't have any other surprises. I hope this helps anyone who has this happen.
