Tentative observations on POE2 Win 11 crashing & locking device (on my laptop)

"
Still hard crashing in Windows 11 when loading a new screen between quests.

Doesn't happen on my old 15 y.o. potato Linux PC ... only on Windows, loading screens are slower on my Linux box (no SSD), but it's reliable, smooth & can't complain about the FPS.

My Windows laptop is running Win11 Home - Version - 10.0.26100 Build 26100
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics, 3201 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) - Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB.

It runs POE2 fairly averagely, but it's playable until it crashes and hard locks my laptop; which it would routinely do every time I played for any length of time.

Up until yesterday I've been running DX12 with the Nvidia DLSS upscale mode. Since the last crash, I changed to Vulcan and the NIS (default) mode and (touchwood) haven't had a crash yet.

Here's hoping!

I get full powerdowns every couple of days, bought a new PSU and still happens. Something in the engine is causing transient spikes.
FWIW I've tried the unassigning cpu core 0 & 1 as suggested by some, but that really gimps performance for me.

Curious what your graphics & upscaling modes are (in POE2 Graaphics Options)?
