Oil Grenade's ignite dps (sometimes) becomes 0 when inheriting from previous oil grenade

Sometimes oil grenades will fail to inherit the ignite DPS from nearby burning ground created by another oil grenade, but will still "ignite", consuming the oil and creating a patch of burning ground that does zero damage. Subsequent oil grenades will then continue to inherit the 0 damage ignite if they are touching this burning ground.

Seems to happen more frequently if multiple oil grenades are detonating in sequence while venn-diagramming the initial burning ground(multiple projectiles, running through a map trying to slam down oil as fast as possible). Less frequently when removing oil grenade's "contact detonation" with longfuse and slowly, deliberately placing the grenades evenly apart, one projectile at at time.

Oil is being ignited with a 100% crit chance Hammer of the Gods with avatar of fire,
while the oil grenades are used with brutality to prevent them from doing any damage on impact (so theres 0% chance that they accidentaly ignite the oil themselves and "stealing" oil puddle).

Maybe the oil grenades are critting for 0 and this crit is outpriotizing the ignite from the other oils? Will test, but no clue at this point. Any one else have any info related to this? I'd hate to throw this build idea in the trash over a bug that I can't even consistently reproduce.
