***Clicking 'Traverse' to open a waystone returns me to the login screen - POE2***

I've done my fair share of troubleshooting on this issue and have read many posts with similar problems but have had no luck so I will explain.

Problem:
I slot a waystone on the desired node on the atlas and click 'Traverse' to use it. I'm immediately returned to the login screen without the map opening. The waystone is not consumed in this process.

Info:
This is on the very first character I created (let's call it Character 1) in Early Access but originally did not make it to maps. I've made several characters after and have been able to enter maps no problem. I returned to play Character 1 and finished the campaign.

After completing the campaign, I went to my hideout to start mapping. I received a system message saying I could not. I know, this means I have to open my first waystone at the Ziggurat Refuge.

*IMPORTANT*
Instead of doing this, I logged on another one of my characters that had unlocked maps and opened it in my hideout. I logged off that character and back on to Character 1 to then enter that map from my hideout, thinking that would let me bypass opening the first map at Ziggurat Refuge.
*IMPORTANT*

I believe in doing this, it is preventing me from even opening a waystone and sending me back to the login screen.

I'm a little frustrated but not deterred. Any help would be appreciated.


UPDATE:
Workaround in the meantime is to open the waystone on another character then swap back to Character 1 to enter the map.

The problem seems to have corrected itself. Not sure what I did or if a super sneaky dev/tech supp fixed it, but thank you.
