Problem with Quest The City of seven waters

Hello, today while playing POE, I encountered a problem related to the quest "The City of Seven Corruption".
When I was at the altar where the essences are, the game crashed. Then I logged in again but the essence was no longer there and I didn't have it in my inventory. I tried to wait for the instance to be reset and go through the map again, but it didn't work. As far as I know, I cannot progress further without completing this task. What should I do?
