Doryani should sell the highest tier map lvl you completed...
Only makes sense...i feel so poor of maps that I'm forced to buy T1 maps to run. I don't have enough ex to blow on maps. I do have enough gold to blow on maps from doryani though.
if not, at least guarantee 1 map drop per run of equal or higher tier. it keeps the player mapping even with just 1 map drop per run.. "fuck around and find out" Last bumped on Jan 4, 2025, 6:21:47 AM

I assume he will.
Both Zana and Solid Snake did back in the day so yeah... he probably just isn't finished being programmed yet like literally over half of the game is right now. I have never felt further from what I know and love

I'd say Doryani should sell maps at least at a level one level high [max T15] based on the "Complete maps of tier X" quests that you've done.
So if you completed your 8 (?) maps at tier 8 then Doryani would sell T9 maps. I'd love to see Doryani sell T15 maps but I don't see that as very likely. I assume GGG will draw a line somewhere. |

I think Doryani (or some other vendor) should have waystones available which are at or near the character's current "Cataclysm's Wake" quest level (or of very high tier if that quest sequence has been completed). These maps should be untradeable, and have restricted crafting capability (Magic, 2-mod limit, perhaps).
The purpose of these maps would be for a player to get back on track if they have run out of viable waystones, without affecting the game economy or in any meaningful way competing with waystones which have been obtained in other ways. I don't think the level of these maps should be affected by the highest level map completed, since that system would be too easy to abuse (by having someone else come in and clear a top-tier map on the player's behalf). " The difference is that in POE1 to complete the atlas you had to complete every different map. Here you do not, you just have to do 10/8/6 (depending on tier) waystones. In POE1 Kirac and Zana before him were not guaranteed to give you what you needed, sometimes they would but most of the time it was just another map that you already did. The flaw I'm seeing here is that nothing in the endgame tells you that you can, and show, use currency on your waystones. Where in POE1 you were forced to do that in order to progress, which helps significantly in sustain. |

That would be good, because then I'd finally have something to do with all that gold I've been collecting. Over 1.7 million and I have no idea what to do with it...

He should sell whatever tier maps needed for the Quests. I don't really want to do 10x T3 maps but only because the game is forcing me to (only to run out of waystones).
Also, why are so many maps needed for the quests? Did they just put down 10x to delay player progress because there is really nothing else to do? |

I don't think he will, nor should.
You're supposed to learn how map sustain works, especially at higher tiers. That means investing in the atlas tree as well as juicing up whatever you have. People using these techniques report no problem with map sustain. Yes, juicing is dangerous, but progress should not be guaranteed - you need to gear up and git gud to reach the top tier of content. Ascend with precision.
