Anyone know when GGG will be back?

This is not a whiny post or a complaint or anything, I'm glad they went on a long vacation - those devs deserve a break regardless of what you might think of the current game state.

I'm just curious to know if we can expect any news this week, or if it's more likely to come next week.

I also think they deserve a break and am glad they are taking one. I am even one of the people not playing due to crashes, but am being patient.

I have not heard anything one way or another, but I would imagine it would be in the next week, and next monday at the latest. We might even get lucky and it could be tomorrow!!

PErsonally if I was giving people time off though, i'd wait till at least the second as many party late into new years, and asking people to come into work for the first time the day after many late night parties, seems silly.

So I would guess at the minimum friday, and it's quite likely they will have the weekend off as well, and everyone starts fresh next week.
Its pretty bad timing imo launch a game and then go on holiday

I would guess that you might see some small changes 2 weeks into January, and then bigger changes a month later once they've had more dev time for multiple teams. I feel like things such as other classes, weapon types and skills will be awhile to add. But end of the 2025 will be the full release I think.

^ This...
Releasing an overhyped game in "EA" just before Christmas and long vacation is not the best idea. However, I suppose they had their reasons to do so...

It might not be the best of timing, but I don't think it was the wrong choice either. We wouldn't get any updates or a better game any sooner by them releasing it in January instead.

I think it was right to only delay 3 weeks, instead of one and a half month. Now we get our feedback adressed earlier than we would've if they'd released in January, and I think that long-term payoff is way more valuable than the short-term payoff of not having go a few weeks in December without any updates.

I have very good explanation why that happened. PM me if interested.

I don't have a problem with it but a "we'll be back on Jan #" would have helped morale quite a bit. They've let player sentiment devolve to wet dog shit, I'm sure thinking as soon as they start patching stuff everything will be forgiven and forgotten.

Which, let's be real, it definitely will. If there's one thing the video game industry has historically proved, it's that as long as you eventually deliver people will forgive and forget the time you disappointed them.

And honestly, why shouldn't it? What value is there in holding long-standing grudges? Never making disappointing moves is an impossible standard for any game company to uphold, and never forgiving those moves isn't going to change that. Nobody has anything to gain by holding on to that bitterness.

Either tomorrow or monday.
