Cruel difficulty feels easier than normal and that is weird.

As the title says i've found cruel easier than the normal mode, and shouldn't feel like that, it's very unforgiving for newcomers and while you feel there is some progression curve and the game becomes slightly harder as you get through the campaign i think they should reconsider this.

I'm not against difficulty from the start but the game felt so slow , it is true that i started crafting very late, but for example vs Jamanra my dps sucked a lot, took me almost 15 minutes to beat her i had very very bad weapons , tons of mana issues, i only had 75% of lightining res which made me survive that long. Appropaite gear is so scarce the first levels.

Right now i'm a very squisy deadeye ranger and i no longer need to kite backwards, i can just melee huge packs of mobs and burst them in a second because i have resources like life steal that i didn't until mid act 3 when my build started shaping up.

I understand that people not familiar with arpgs quited the game because it felt difficult and slow at some points in their campaign, the problem is not cruel mdoe being too easy because afterall difficulty is pretty infinite so it's natural that you can blas throught it if your build and gear is already suitable for the real high end.

Anyone has felt the same?

Bro cruel is just act 1-3 again it's designed for low level characters. The game is not meant to even have "cruel".
My guess is the access to the op skills. Newbie skill gems are god awful.
Yes, I've experienced the same, but I guess this is because

- I knew what to expect
- I've changed my build at the end of act 3
- I had better gear (relative to the level)
- I had gotten used to the WASD controls

It can be intentional. Same as in Diablo 2. You start normal, its tough, but then you hit lvl 30 and have that best skill/spell and now you want to feel the power of it. And game readily gives it. Later though, when you hit Hell difficulty.. )) And I think this is a nice design. Difficulty curve should go up in a form of wave but not of a straight line.

Guys, cruel is literally just a placeholder you can stop hypothesizing. It will be replaced by 3 new acts later and "cruel" will not exist.
Yes but still this can be intentional.
No
I really can't see any issue here. Your build is not even at it's basics during the first run, but it has a whole skill set at rerun on cruel. Where is your issue exactly?
