Close-quarters AOE skill hitbox
I've been having a blast with PoE2 so far and I've been playing it with my partner basically from character creation onwards. And so far, reaching what feels like the half-way point of Act 2 we've both noticed a slightly obnoxious issue with cone-shaped AOE skills for both the mercenary and the witch classes.
The issue in question is that when you're standing "too close" to an enemy or a corpse, the cone seems to go through the object but doesn't interact with it. A concrete example of this would be the Unearth skill for my witch character, where if I stand too close to a corpse it doesn't affect it. I am forced to take 2 to 3 steps back and recast it again in order to affect the corpse on the floor. My partner noticed the same issue with the mercenary class attack skills which tend to go through enemies that are in the character's face. Are we doing something wrong or has anyone else been having the same issues? Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 5:20:02 AM
