People are not getting hacked, I’m convinced it’s RMT enforcement!

I don’t think people are actually getting hacked. Almost every post I’ve seen involves absurdly high currency amounts—like someone claiming to have 2.5k divines or 5k exalts. Seriously, what? I suspect this is a system designed to target RMT currency. Instead of banning players (since they’d just make new accounts), it wipes their currency to make them feel awful.

For example, a friend of mine was complaining on Discord today about being getting “hacked”. After going over all his extensions, we found out he recently bought 40 divines from an RMT site. These sites don’t ask for account details they just trade you the currency so they’re not the ones hacking accounts.

Let’s be real: these sites are making bank. Honestly, it’s no secret I guarantee it’s 1 in 3 people are buying currency. It’s time to stop pretending it’s just a small minority and take a hard look in the mirror.

I think GGG has implemented a new tool and it’s targeting high currency values, as it’s harder to determine RMT from someone buying 100 exalts vs someone buying 2k divines.

People are not being banned they are being hacked you goose. GGG is not individually taking items and selling them on lvl 2 accounts, do you have a single clue about the hacks or just making it all up ? A streamer literally recorded themselves being hacked.
Lol, listen up.

I said they aren’t banning people on purpose, you goose. If this was an actual hack, the company would have a responsibility to address the issue, or they’d be committing several violations. Companies in three major countries are required to respond to compromised accounts within 24 hours, yet here we are—silence.

And that streamer you mentioned? He “posted his own proof,” but we have no idea if that’s legitimate or not. streamers cheat all the time. Just look at Sodapoppin—he pretended for years that RMT was bad, only to end up banned for it himself. Foolish behavior.

Honestly, I hope I’m wrong. But if I’m not, I’m looking forward to getting some free money when they face a class-action lawsuit for failing to notify me that my account was leaked to a third party without my consent.
You said "These sites don’t ask for account details they just trade you the currency so they’re not the ones hacking accounts."

This is not really accurate. Sure they don't ask for your GGG account details, but they have your account details for their website when you RMTd. They use those details and just hope the person used the same details on GGG. Or alternatively they gave you malware. RMT sites are shady as hell and are KNOWN for hacking accounts in many many games. It's the most likely explanation here, because it's the most commonly occurring.

Bottom line is, don't RMT.

Or, there's no reason to risk robbing people who only have like 2 divines.
Where on earth do people get this nonsense from?
I kinda agree on the fact that most people i have seen getting their accounts stolen are those with ridiclious high amount of currency.

Like people claiming they lost hundreds or even thousands of divines.

At this point i just believe its RMTers that created an account on RMT websites with the same login info as for their PoE accounts or emails.
