What does Corruption do on Map Nodes?

I don't see this explained anywhere. The Atlas Legend lists Corruption and it is underlined as if there is a Glossary descrption but on ps5 I can't find a way to select it.

I can see the enemies are leaving little red blobs on the floor but they don't seem to do anything.

So firstly this is a bug/feedback report that those Map Legend descriptions are not working on ps5, or if they are the navigation is unclear.

Second can someone please explain what they do? Thanks.

Ok... thanks and apologies if I am being daft but I don't see the answer there. It doesn't mention maps, nodes or Atlas according to the Find on Page function.

I am refering to map nodes with the red symbol on the Atlas Map, this is not coruption on Waystones which poe1 players seem to refer to as maps.

+1 to Level of the zone. For example a T15 Waystone has a base Zone and Monster level of 79. With corruption on the node, it goes to lvl 80.

On ps5 this seems inaccessible. The Legend comes up with L3 but there doesn't seem to be any way to select the tooltips on the underlined terms.
