Two bosses I feel are just overtuned...
|
The first was the Act 2 boss.
Now I'm stuck on that stupid Viper lady and cannot get past it. I'm over leveled really for the area and have a charm to reduce the poison but just keeps killing me whenever they do the stupid poison shit. Anyone else feel poison is just massively overtuned or is there a way to combat it i am unaware of? Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 7:59:56 PM

Guess it depends on what class you are playing? Poison damage is also considered Chaos damage, so getting chaos resistance would help mitigate that. Unfortunately character levels don't directly help with anything unless to unlock gear of higher levels. It's all about the gear. Good luck friend!!

" You have to dodge it all so you don't get poisoned. I personally hate the Queen of Filth because she does a huge amount of damage in her roll, attacks and AoE. She's unnaturally fast for her size. Love her as a concept but don't enjoy the fight. Last edited by GuiltyParty32#9913 on Dec 27, 2024, 3:16:33 PM

It's the bit where the soldiers surrounding just fire poison staffs. That keeps hitting me and just melting my health. Honestly really annoying. Definitely leaving it now as really annoying.
Did the Sun God thing fairly easily but this is just a pain in the arse and the whole soldiers thing is a bit like the lava flow but so much worse as there is so little I feel i can do to avoid it. Plus she just keeps floating in the air giving me very little options in the fight. Cannot overstate how annoying this is... |

" Hug one wall and there is obvious visual cue on which ones will stab in 3 seconds. It’s not that hard once you observe the pattern. |

Both teach you mechanics of the game, so learn.
Step 1 is to self reflect.

For the chaos boss. If you're playing warrior that fight was significantly harder on warrior than my other chars. like 100x harder. not even trolling
87 titan 90 invoker 92 stormweaver I didnt have trouble on the act 2 boss on any char so idk. I did it deathless on all of them. You just dodge, stand on npc and dodge some more. my monk didnt even see the poison spear mechanic cause of perma freeze. I think the way you deal with it is stand close to 1 edge and dodge the spears from that side and the ones from the other side wont hit you sometimes but it seemed like a toss up whether it worked or i just had poor reflexes. Stormweaver was just as easy. Fill the room with spark and dodge. |

For the Viper boss:
I've been told that the staff attacks are considered dodge-able strikes. Theoretically a perfectly timed dodge roll might do the trick. Last edited by KingAlamar#4071 on Dec 27, 2024, 3:56:43 PM

I hate this boss fight too. It's slightly overtuned. Her melee, lightning arrow and charging viper attack are pretty easy to dodge. Then the next phase where she starts summoning AoE's is relatively simple. The fire rings are easy to dodge, the chaos damage ones that come after is a different story, best tip to give you here is to memorize which spawns first and come up with a path to take as you're dodging, taking advantage of the space you have. Then there's Arakaali's Sting.. this one is just bs. You barely have enough reaction time to dodge the spears. My tactic for this is to stay near the very bottom, quickly look left/right to see which spears are charging and quickly move if you need to. Don't stand too close to the guards as they will hit you. Then the phase starts where all of them start charging, in which case I hug the corner so only 1 side can potentially hit me and time my roll, afterwards she will spam you with more poisonous attacks, so just dodgeroll away until she's done and then hit her. I can see this boss getting nerfed, most notably the reaction time you have when the spears start charging will probably be increased by like 200ms, currently it's a bit too hectic. Good luck exile!

They are both extremely easy. Literally can face tank every 2h sword slam from Jamanra without dying or running out of potions on any build whether you're armor or es or evasion.
