I’d need to break out the old Econ textbook and think about it a bit more, but at first glance I’m not convinced this would reduce inflation or item prices in any way.

In fact, if everyone could exchange, say 15 exalted for 1 divine, I think stuff would just end up more expensive than today (effectively “the same price” taking the new exchange rate into account). Free markets tend to be efficient that way. Same thing if you could trade a lower value currency for exalteds at a higher rate than today: items would simply cost more exalteds.

Your proposal is basically buffing exalted drop rates, you end up in the exact same place (as far as the market is concerned) if you did that vs. what you’re proposing.

Much like many world leaders have learned the hard way, markets are complex, and often respond to outside interference in unfavorable ways - there are no easy solutions to inflation.

If the core problem is bottling or exploiting, those root causes have to be solved for market conditions to improve. There are no other easy answers.

Those are good points to consider... the onlyother solution i can think of is GGG going new age and utilizing the new and existing ai anti cheats available.

imagine if GGG added anybrain (ai anticheat) bots would be non existant

also i like what HTrone and Liberty does to RMT'ers.. they dont ban them... they make their currency go negative. so say for example someone buys 100 divine orbs.... they get caught along with the botter... their currencies now go -100 divine. They cant have a divine on their account until they have paid at least 100.
