Had to reroll to keep interest in game

Endgame just feels empty. all these players and there are no group activities. Game claims to be multiplayer but in reality it feels more like a whole bunch of people playing a single player game with the same global chat. Doing maps and getting better gear to do more maps to get better gear to do more maps....where does it end or what's the actual goal here? Decided to reroll and having a good time again learning and playing a chr with a different play style but i fear when i get this toon to endgame i will just get bored again as the Path seems occluded and mysterious at this point in time. Game was so different playing with a friend i tried to recruit because the difficulty just spikes when you try and do campaign with another player not to mention trials are impossible with shared honor. like the game just not maintaining my interest once the "endless" endgame is the only activity period.
