My only real problem with EA PoE 2 - Visibillity
I REALLY like this game. It's one of my most favorite of all time, and I find myself easily glossing over a lot of things that others find problematic with the game.
There is however one thing I find problematic to the point of interfering with my enjoyment of the game, namely visibility. For context, I main a melee build, so this might be a bigger issue for me rather than most other builds. Summed up, what tends to be the only thing that kills me isn't making mistakes, or underestimating a situation, it's dying to something I couldn't see. Often I find that small explosion effects in tiny corridors with tall walls kill me, as the animation occurs behind said wall. (Example image: ![]() My suggestion to fix these issues is a focus on redesigning maps for visiblity. Too many small corridors and pillars and walls. Make the camera more aggressively remove foreground clutter, and make "get out of the way" mechanics far more visible. Most games solve this by breaking immersion and just drawing a big red circle, but that may not be an option (and if it's considered, make it opt in). I find the mechanics and classes sufficiently refined, but the maps are what I feel the game is lacking in the most. Thank you for reading my first post! Last bumped on Dec 25, 2024, 4:10:30 PM
