Mana drain aura + mind over matter

I've seen multiple complains about how punishing mana drain on rare monsters is, but not enough about how with mind over matter after draining your mana it starts draining your life as well. Fun stuff, especially if you run CI as well. Extremely fast mobs / blinking ones with mana drain are a death sentence with that setup.

yes, the fast mobs are toxic, since your instinct is to run from monsters.

I dont think this is any worse than flask siphoner for pathfinder in poe1. everything has some form of weakness.

that being said it still makes me mad when they kill me but outside of this mob the defensive upside is huge.

playing MoM which feels really good - well if you ignore how overtuned ES is in its current state. And I am fine with there being a mod impacting my defensive layer.

Its like poison for non-ci es builds/armor break for armor builds. Its good there is content you have to play against carefully. Be happy that you can easily make out mana drain mobs compared to armor break

Problem is it isn't just a MoM counter. It's a thing that very quickly drains mana of any player. And a smaller mana pool... It needs to be drastically reduced.

As to MoM, they need to fix the two uniques to not let them bypass Eldritch Battery's down side.

All of the above is okay, having it compromise your defenses etc. But it straight up kills you. Imagine armor break but once they stacked it you just die even if you have godlike skills and literally manage to not get hit even once.

What I'm suggesting is to remove the damage effect once your mana hits 0, it's punishing enough even without that.

edit: in fact it feels so bs that I'm not even sure if the mechanic is supposed to work that way.

This needs to be tweaked and nerfed slightly it is so overpowered to have 3.5k mana drained in seconds and can't refill with flask or cast anything to deal with the mob.
