636 Strength Required is absurd!
The Expert level two handers have a strength requirement of 212.
To wield them one handed you need 3x that. So you need a good Advanced level two hander or get good rolls and reduced requirements on an Expert. Ok fine. I'll use Advanced. However they don't drop any more in high tier maps if you have any Rarity (I only have 30 Rarity) If you roll 33 strength on all items that can have it plus take a lot of extra strength nodes plus the multiplier nodes you can reasonably reach about 500 strength. That is very short of 616. You can take all strength but then you have nothing else. You can't use 1 handers. The damage is pitiful and definitely doesn't cut it in High Tier maps. Giant's Blood is all but mandatory to get to the same damage levels of the other Ascendancies. The price difference reflects this too. Expert weapons are about 20% of the price of Advanced weapons. I believe the value was bumped to 3x just before release. The early datamined value was 2x only. 250% would have been manageable but I suspect because of the wording using double instead of 200% it was simply changed to triple. If that's true it seems very poorly considered. Last bumped on Dec 29, 2024, 9:40:13 AM

Its a Keystone, there are meant to be some downsides to their use. 2x is easy to manage (even my self geared Titan is pushing over 400 strength right now). For the privilege of being able to one-hand a two-handed item you're going to have to either use a less ideal base, or invest in some super charged gear to get you to that point.
There are people that can reach 1k Intelligence, so grabbing 600 Strength seems manable, albeit you might need to get an idea breech ring to manage it for all I know. And, really, strength is all you really need on a warrior. You can take Resolute Techniques to not worry about Accuracy, or grab the Node that gives you +Strength to Accuracy (stacking that much Strength to meet the requirements will probably give you what you need). |

They changed it from 2X to 3X so fuking casually, while it's 424 to 636.
Like there's a unbelievablely lazy dev just swap some random number by his/her toe. Oh wait, the whole mace system seems like set up by toe. nvm Last edited by jojo1225#3785 on Dec 25, 2024, 3:11:55 AM

" I think the real take away from this is that 1 handed weapons need a buff more than anything. |

My warbringer at level 84 currently has 581 Strength and that's really pushing it already. There is one item I just can't replace because of the insanely good resistance stats, but it is the only item (ring) without any strength on my gear.
The least of strength an item has is 25, most of the rest is 30-32 which is already pretty high. I have the Meginord belt vaal'd with +13 strength giving it a total of 61 strength! Yet I still cannot reach that 600 mark probably until I reach the level required to fill up the rest with attribute nodes, but I really don't see it happening and it shouldn't be this hard to get over 600 compared to some of the intelligence stat stackers. Something is definitely off. *edit: I now have 624 strength by pimping a Breach ring to +49 strength and doing the same for my amulet. I am not going to search to get the last 12 points from an item as my gear is pretty well rounded atm but instead try not to die to dumb shit and get 3 more strenght nodes in passive tree. Soon... Had to literally have all strength +20 on all gear and take the beef nodes for more strength then get Titan Ascendancy to get that small nodes get 50% more to be able to get that. 2x would be more attainable but this is like really end game.
I don't agree with the 3x, possibly a 2.5x seems more in line but 3x is a lot. |
