Does the Infernalist even make sense?

At first I thought the infernalist was super cool, a great idea for SSF and league starts that has no need for weapons or shields and allows the player to focus exclusively on the fundamentals of the game and progression, and it even has a Demi-headhunter theme to its base form.

Taking the demon form then the damage mitigating notables in the ascendancy first felt excellent and fun and exciting. I slogged my way through the lvl 3 trial of the sekema (honestly the complaints a semi valid and that shit is patently anti fun and it literally took me 15-20 minuets to kill the scorpion... fucking stupid design imo but maybe I'm just a fucking pussyass).

For the 3rd set of point i went with the hellhound at first... which literally does nothing at all and is genuinely a waste of points. so i tried out the burn thing "pyromantic" and it completely contradicts the demon form entirely and its basically a suicide combo. then i though... OH YEAH, all the you tube dorks are reducing their max HP to take less degen and get more stacks in demon form (oh i forgot to mention that taking the max 10 stacks for demon form is literally a middle finger to the player... just fuck you and your time and your power progression).

as is... reserving your health for the spirit, ES or Mana flats is kinda the only logical choice. Spirit and ES make the most sense in most cases and give the biggest effect (the ES for me is over 1100 Extra AWESOME!) however, the degen only considers maximum HP for the character so the degen literally becomes even less manageable when you take these points. with only 4/8 ascendancy points invested my demon girl is smoother, stronger, and more enjoyable to play than with 6/8 or 8/8 invested and that IS FUCKING STUPID.

Great work otherwise on the game but what in the fuck is even the point of infernalist do not play infernalist it is a shitty ass waste of time and it will in most cases peeter out around t10 maps and literally investing higher makes playing it clunkier and less effective.

oh furthermore... specing out of the hellhound without first removing the support gems will delete the support gems god damn it i hate this ascendancy its horrible
