Attacks Gain 35% of Damage as Cold Damage for 3 seconds on Freezing an enemy with Supported Skills

Does it add 35% of the total attack damage as extra cold damage?
Does it convert 35% of non-cold damage to cold damage?

I have 80% of the physical damage converted to cold (Permafrost Bolts). What happens if I put Ice Bite support to it?

It says gain, so it is purely more damage without any multiplications.

Assume you already do 100% attack damage so when it proccs you will do 135%.

It does not convert as that would not be a gain of damage but just a swap of element.
