Unacceptable Performance and Options.

I've had lots of headaches with this game, as well as the first game, always did. For some UNGODLY reason. Both Path of Exile 1 and 2 try to use my non-existent Integrated GPU and uses too much CPU at 100% while my GPU lazes around at most 55% usage. It also refuses to show and use my whole 4GB VRAM, only showing max 2gb.

I've tried everything, from changing graphics to Vulkan, DX12 and 11, Reinstalling windows from scratch with drivers from the websites, setting graphics in the windows display setting high performance, also setting up the Nvidia control panel directly onto the exe(s) to be on high performance everything.

I understand that my GPU is just 30% better than the 960, which is the minimum requirement, but again, it barely uses it, and it should allow me to play at least at 30FPS without stutters/drops at LOW, but even if I go 800x600 I can't play maps. I just die again and again due to drops and low FPS.

Why can't I change the graphics from Medium at all? Why aren't there more options to tone down particles, effects and other players in the party/lobbies Why why, why? I'm so tired.

I also found out that Nvidia APP for some reason shows Path of Exile 2 as Path of Exile 1, which might also contribute to my already horrible performance.

It's insane to me, there are are lots of other people with RTX's that have mostly the same problems as me, which solidifies the fact that something is not right, and we need more options/changes for performance. I really, really want to play and have fun like everyone else without breaking the bank for a high-end PC.

Anyways, Here's my PC specs, which can run most games without problems, at low 1080p 60FPS expect well Path of Exile 1 and 2.

PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 4500
GTX 1650
16GB Ram.

Case and point, we shouldn't have to do this ourselves. the game should have given us most of these options. also you say CPU bottleneck but there are many many people with i9s and Ryzen 9s that still have massive CPU usages and still very low GPU usages.

By the way, I've already tried everything in that post expect for the "Shortcut and .exe settings" which I'm going to test out right now.
+1 to this.

Performance is pretty bad on my AMD PC, so I end up playing POE on my NVIDIA laptop instead.

The funny thing is, my gaming laptop has waaaaaay lower GPU and CPU memory and frequency compared to my gaming PC!

i have one of the mentioned cpus and have no issue with low gpu usage/ no stutter and no fps drops. ggg doen't have to tell you how to make your old cpu work with their game. and neither do i in fact. all these worked for me few weeks ago with a very old cpu and gave me semi stable 35fps. you clearly don't need help and want to vent so continue with taht , best of luck

I have 180 hours in Path of Exile 2, trust me buddy. I do want to play it more and see the new pinnacle bosses and mechanics that everyone else experiences. my builds all have 30K dps at minimum and can breeze through tier 5 to 10 maps if the game doesn't decide to melt itself even at low resolutions. I have no reason to vent when I want to play the damn game! I need help or at least a reason as to why this happens so I know if I'm wasting my time or hope for a future patch. **** it, maybe I'm in the wrong for seeking technical help.
2nd, 3rd, 4th etc to this.

This has got to be the worst aspect of the game. I hear how people commend the game for the good graphics... and then I look at how the game looks, compare it to the other games and this game just stutters all the damn time. It freezes and generally runs poorly, while other games run on high or highest settings and run just FINE.

It's EA, right. I'll cut some slack to the game over this, but in its current state, I find myself frustrated over this more than over anything else.
I am having performance issues as well. I run with Dynamic FPS with lowest settings and everything is still laggy. My laptop is i7, 980 GeForce with 16 GB ram.
For me everything was working fine until yesterday I think. Yesterday I started to have some frame drops.
Ryzen 5700x
GeForce 4060
64 GB RAM DDR3
Steam and PoE2 sit on Samsung Evo 980 PRO.
Same issue as OP with a 10900K with 32GB DDR4 and RTX 3080. DX12 and Win 10.

Two cores are maxed out at 100% when playing and the game feels very sluggish (input lag) despite sitting mostly over 60fps up towards 100fps in the wild but down to 30fps if the scene is busy. ~50% GPU usage and overall ~50% cpu usage due to those two cores maxing.

Playing on laptop, I managed to complete the campaign but maps are just unplayable. High mob areas and league mechanics like breach drop my fps down to 10 and I instantly die losing xp as well. I tried all hacks and methods but no use.

These are my specs.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
RAM: 16.0 GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU
SSD
