Is Djinn Barya/Inscribed Ultimatum Drop Rate Too Low? Thoughts?
Since the start of the early access, I believe that I have found no more than 20 total Djinn Barya and I think maybe another 15 or so Inscribed Ultimatums. Of that number, there has been only one (1) level 60+ Djinn Barya. In comparison, I have found approximately 15 Unique Items in the same time-span.
I hesitate to complain too loudly, as I feel like once I obtain the final four (4) ascendancy points I will not continue to partake in the trials. However, I also feel like having the points being locked behind a trial that is only unlockable through a key with a drop rate comparable to Uniques is a bit much. I can understand if limiting the drop rate of the Barya Coins and Ultimatums is a method to keep Uniques from flooding the market, but I would still say it's a bit of a stretch to make the coins as rare as they currently feel. What are all your thoughts and suggestions on this matter? Am I just unlucky AF? Do I need to "git gud" or "QQ moar"? Or, mayhaps, you have an idea that GGG might not have considered? Or maybe the drop rate is just fine considering you'll keep dropping tokens even after ascending leading to your next toons already having tokens (on top of relics) to do their own trials.
The game might be made to be played over longer periods of time and with more characters that you may think of. Big picture. |

I see that you are quite knowledgeable about the game from POE 1 through your years of being in your guild to the number of alts that you have.
I confess, I downloaded POE 1 when it first hit EA, saw the skill tree and ran screaming like a baby back to D3 (biggest mistake ever, in hindsight). I agree with you that the game is meant to be played long-term and, I believed that I communicated that understanding through the content of my post. The purpose of the post was to highlight just how rare the tokens are. My knowledge that there's a "bigger picture" is also, I believe clear through my acknowledgement of the fact that the rarity of the tokens could be tied to a desire to prevent oversaturation of the market from various items (Uniques being one). I feel like you "skimmed" the post, thought "some whiny baby is posting again" and lashed out. If that was not the case, I understand. Regardless, please do not lessen your own credibility by insulting mine or other's intellect. I respect your opinion and hope we can continue to have a proper discussion. |

They don't drop much but I don't really see a need for them after getting your points. New characters are also guaranteed a trial via the quest.
I have actually gotten twice as much uniques compared to the trial coins since I started playing. I have my item rarity at 140% now and the trial coins seem to increase now. Last edited by BesottedOrb#0064 on Dec 23, 2024, 7:22:46 PM

" Yeah, I am very much glad that the first 4 points are "freebies". It's a definite concern of mine that the trials will become "trash drops" after a certain amount of time. The only reason it's even bothersome (albeit only somewhat) at this point is that the first 60+ coin I got had a somewhat bad roll; that, coupled with my own lack of skill was a deadly combination which resulted in, well....death. |

" problem is it creates too much friction and causes boredum. I already uninstalled for awhile until or if its addressed. It's just boring farming for days for another attempt. |

Forget the drop rate.
Accessing content should not be locked behind rng loot. If you want to run Sekhemas Trials, you should be able to just do so. Not need to luck out looting an access key first. If you want to run Chaos Trials, you should be able to just do so. Not need to luck out looting an access key first. |
