200 hours Feedback

Please note that this is a personal feedback, no one needs to agree with what I say in here. This is my personal experience, i've played PoE 1 for over 5000 Hours and PoE 2 for a little over 200 hours and I may compare both versions (PoE 1 and PoE 2).

The game itself is stunning, maps have tons of details, visual and music are just perfect.

The character progression is great, lots of exalted drops which is fun, makes you slam exalted on low level itens without any regrets.

The time it takes on the campaign from act 1 to endgame is acceptable, but after create 3 characters the campaign feels frustating, even with unique itens and buying "great" level up itens from the beggining to the end, 1 shotting everything still makes the time you spend in the campaign too long which makes me wanna stop play the game.

In my opinion and I believe a lot of people would agree, campaign can stay as it is, or even take more time if needed, but after you level up your first character in a league, the next one you create should have an option to skip the campaign and go straight to the maps. Add some waystones with increased exp from lv 1 to 60 to make faster to level up these "skippable" characters and this would make everyone happy.

Difficult mode: I've seen few posts about this and I believe this should be an option. Imagine you're a casual, you don't have too much time, but you still want to enjoy the game, you select an easy mode with low drop rate, low exp, but easier maps where you can die and go back to the map like in PoE 1 without losing your loot.
A moderate difficult (actual gameplay) where if you die you lose your map, normal drop rate etc.
Hard difficult, for these who loves a challenge, monsters hitting very hard and with increase HP, but with higher drop rates and better exp, not something too big to break the game, but to make you feel rewarded to play in this difficult level.

Perhaps even a "Hardcode" difficult like we had in Valdo maps where if you die you lose your character, but extremely high drop rates? Just an idea.

Ascendancy class reroll: I believe GGG will do it already in the future, as no one wants to level up the same character again just to select a different ascendancy to test something different. This of course would not be necessary if we had the option I mentioned above to skip campaign and go straight to maps, is would also be beneficial to the company as they would sell more character slots.

Rarity: This definitely should have stayed in PoE 1, it just breaks the game, you feel forced to create a magic find character in order to get better loot which is not cool at all.
Instead of rarity, they could easily implement the difficult levels I mentioned before, and each one of them having different drop rates.


Game speed: the early game everything is slower, you take time fightning the bosses, you learn their mechanics, you dodge, you use all the skills in your bar, this in my opinion feels amazing, it's not just spam 1 button and wait for the boss to die. But then the endgame comes, you get stronger but still does not 1 shot the bosses, you still needs to do a bit of mechanics, and this is just amazing.
Unfortunately there are some overpowered skills which break the game, lightning arrow or flicker strike in my opinion should not be in this game. It's just too broken.

The "cast on" skills also should feel more like an extra instead of a breaking game mechanic, you add lightning arrow, lightning rod, ball lightning, cast on shock and you just delete any boss. I spend like 2 div on an Deadeye and I literally delete any boss in like 2 secs.

All classes should be more like an Warrior, you have your normal skills there, a break armour here, a stun, a defensive/evasive skill and a "ultimate" skill like Hammer of the gods with a high cowndown but high damage, you play around every skill when you play Warrior, you block, you dodge, you stun, etc, etc...

Deadeye you just... hold 1 button. Any mage, you just hold 1 button, minions you don't even press any button.

And no, I did not played warrior at all, im not even a fan of warrior playstyle, but it's just looks amazing, that's how the entire game should be.

Again, this is personal opinion but PoE 2 should be a Souls Like game with epic fights, but the way it is right now, it will be like PoE 1 in no time.

GGG have 2 games, leave PoE 1 for the people who like to speedrun over everything with 1 HP and make PoE 2 for a different public, keep it simple.

People complaining about PoE 2 please, just go back to PoE 1 if PoE 2 is not for your taste.

Endgame bosses, mechanics are great, but perhaps a bit too fast, it may be a bug but The Arbiter of Ash for example, these circles where you have to be inside comes too fast, no class without blink (and Temporalis chest) can do it, and even if you manage to get into all these circles, he kills you with that mega fire laser while you are in the last circle, anyways, this fight is epic, but needs to be a bit more slower.


Experience gained in maps: Poe 1 people get 1 to 100 in less than 24h, which is not fun at all. Then in PoE 2 in my opinion is perfect, it's nice to see that people is taking over 2 weeks to reach level 100. In my opinion from 1 to 85 should be easy, 85 to 93 moderate and 93 to 100 hard like it is now, makes the game much more challenging and rewarding for these who like to go for the level 100. perhaps level 100 should give 5 points? this would be very rewarding and make everyone go for it or at least try.

Tankiness of characters should be reviewed, doesn't matter if you have 3k HP and 75% armour / Evasion or even 6k ES at level 50, bosses will still one shot you with no reason.

Auction House would also be great to have to buy itens, would end the market for these scams and also make easier for players to look for itens having it right away. More frustating than level up your char and reach endgame is to spend half day trying to buy a few itens to cap your resists and have a descent dps, you send over 100 pm and like 2 people reply back, not even including the scammers who just waste our times even more.


Teleport to Trial of Sekhemas on the right side of the map would be a nice quality of life as well like they did with Temple of Chaos.

Enemy AoE skills on the ground effects should be more visible as right now you can't see anything at all.

Runes on itens should be removable so we can add new ones to the items, of course once we remove a rune it should be destroyed, otherwise the rune market would be ruined. Perhaps lower the drop rate of runes so it have a bigger impact on the market. At some point everyone will be full runes on set so eventually the price will get lower.

New corruption system seems much better than PoE 1, feels great to finally be able to slam vall orb on itens as it only changes 1/2 status of the item and does not completely breaks the item. From experience, I believe I slam about 50 random itens and less than 10 went bad. Most of them got an extra rune slot, an upgrade, or nothing happened.

Chance Orbs is also great, feels like 50/50, even thought the rates is probably 99.5/0.5 feels good to use Orb of chance now.


Overall the game is amazing, just need a bit more of polish.

Again, this is my opinion but I believe many people would agree with it and of course also disagree.
