Increased Rarity of Items found Group

How does Increased Rarity of Items found work in Group?

Does the highest magicfind trigger, does magicfind from the one who killed the enemy trigger or something else?

In POE 1 the character that made the kill had their rarity affect applied, I am fairly certain that is still true in POE2. I have seen videos of groups playing where they have one player designated as a culling strike/rarity character and that seems to achieve good results.
