conc effect messes with auto target on mace strike

When equipping conc effect on my mace strike the auto target seems to be off. I am always just barely not in range to attack almost like the ai doesn't register the new range since im guessing the aoe effects maybe the lolly popping effect of the auto at the end of its hit. Only seems to occur when i start out of range and it has me run up to attack.
