3rd Trial - Sanctum Feedback

Beat the 3rd trial.
I do not know how to communicate more clearly that I do not want to engage with any of these trials. 1.) Some enemies are nearly impossible to fight without losing honor as melee. 2.) The compounding RNG of bad rooms + limited number of attempts doesn't feel fair. You can lose an attempt ENTIRELY because you have bad RNG options. 3.) Honor as a mechanic negates any damage mitigation/recovery options you have in your build. It forces you to play in a "No-Hit" style - which this game is NOT tuned for, especially for melee. 4.) Honor as a mechanic causes me to run from monsters more frequently than fighting them -- which doesn't even match the nomenclature. 5.) Some of the options are almost a guarantee to kill your run. 6.) Frequently you are check mated into taking bad options. I love you guys, you're wonderful developers -- but these trials need to go back to the drawing board entirely. It is an unfair, unfun, experience that punishes you with a limited number of attempts -- and frequently simply wasting a bunch of your time by killing your run with RNG. To add insult to injury the rewards for completing these trials are a bunch of white and blue items. I don't understand the reasoning for why some of the most hated league mechanics ever, were crammed into one of the most core components of building a character in POE 2. I respect that someone had a vision, but I lack the vocabulary to articulate how much disdain I have for the trials in this game. Whatever the vision was, I don't see it. I don't resonate with it. Yeah, the third one is brutal but the fourth one is just outright insane. I'm sure they will look at the number of players who managed to get all 8 points and tune it down.

I died to the very last room before boss today, and it's not because of any monsters, it was the escape room, with 5 nodes, scattered into places, and i ran out of time not cause i couldn't find the last node, i did find it, but got stuck into something in the narrowest place where the node path is where i cannot move at all and had to see the time ran to zero, i have tried dodge rolling, didn't worked, afterward i didn't know who should i blame, myself for "skill issue" and not being "git gud" or the luck cauce dare i blame the game system as it's seems so perfect. If this is how the trials are meant to be, i'd say eff it, i won't go for my 3rd and fourth ascendency at all, i'd do maps and carry on without finishing the build.
Either they redo how players should approach to progress or they can keep it and see people get out of it...cause doing this along with 6 act campaign every 3 to 4 month league wont gonna last for very long, both are tedious to do. |
