POE 2 Mushroom / Cauldron

Act 3 Apex of Filth Collected 3 mushrooms without any quest to do so. I then found the Cauldron Keeper / cauldron and was able to throw the mushrooms in but did not get any item from doing so.

I had just the same experience. Even put a fourth one in ... No effect. Well, it is Early Access - even if it feels like a fleshed out AAA-Title!

I have the green, red and blue mushroom, but when i click the cauldron, nothing happens. Can it be because they are not all from the same act? Do i have to go back in acts to get rid of them? That would be annoying.
