Trial of the Sekhemas Multiplayer QoL
|
So my roommate and I were both playing the game separately, but then we realized that we both needed to do the trial of the sekhemas for our third ascendency. I absolutely abhor sanctum, but he was a fiend for sanctum so I was very grateful to have him help me, and even though we failed all 3 times, I did enjoy playing with him. My issues with the gamemode aside, there are some smaller things that I found to be really questionable decisions when playing with other people.
1) Why can't the player who is not the party leader see the sacred water count at all? I found it really stupid to have to ask my friend how much water we had, like that isn't something you could just show me? You show me the water count when we look at the merchant together so its clearly something I can be shown. 2) Some loot is not able to be picked up by the non-party leader at all even when we have the item allocation settings on free for all. I could maybe understand the relics, but it was still annoying when I opened a chest in a gauntlet room and my buddy is across the map trying to push a different lever and I can't just pick it up and share it with him later. But even gear dropped from the end of floor chests was his, and if I wanted it he had to pick it up and drop it or trade it to me... 3) Why not show everyone the smallest honour pool of all the players in the party, maybe with a small message that says modified by party members or something? I had a larger honour pool than my friend, but if he runs out of honour then we both lose the trial. This means that as the player with more honour, I don't have a correct indicator of how close we are to actually losing. 4) I really wish non-party leader could use more of the shrines. I think the only ones that I could use were the sacred water fountains (not that I could see how much of it I was getting), but I found it really silly to not be allowed to activate many of the end of room shrines or the merchant. I found this to be mostly obnoxious in gauntlet rooms or the death timer rooms where we would often split up, and I would be right next to the exit, I couldn't just activate the shrine while I waited for him. If nothing else, I think it would be cool if party members being able to activate shrines was based on the item allocation setting, so that you could still restrict it if you don't trust your teammates for some reason.
