The action of the keyboard on the action of the controller
|
How do I assign a key on the keyboard as the action of the gamepad button (I'm sitting playing on the gamepad, pressing the pedal button with my foot to jump and flask)?
I play PoE 2 via Steam on PC, control using a gamepad (xbox one, dual sense). I tried to do it, but it didn't work out, I spent a couple of hours. Do you have any idea how to do this? The pedal was purchased by PCsensor, disposable, black, usb, it has software. But in the game, control seems to be intercepted with Tim and no action is performed, although the pedal prints a symbol in the chat. Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 7:58:26 AM

" Normally this wouldn't be a problem But in PoE 2, most keyboard and mouse controls just doesn't work while you are in gamepad mode You can try and see if what you want to map to your controller works though You can map keyboard controls to your controller through steam's build in controller mapping software Last edited by Jokke1989#7206 on Dec 26, 2024, 5:47:51 AM

Hello.
I play on the computer via the gamepad: xbox one and dual sense. I want to emulate pressing the gamepad button with the pedal so that I can relieve my hands from constantly pressing the crossbow (rapid shot) and can do it with my foot and when I want to again and there is no pedal under my foot, I can shoot with my hand at any moment. I've already made steam switch to "long press" on the gamepad trigger, switch to shooting and switch to stop shooting, but it doesn't work very well on 1 button. |

I have message on another forum
To use the pedal you would need to reassign XBOX controller commands to pedal via your pedal's software. Controller binds on PC are directly handled by Microsoft code built into the OS. The controller interactions are literally baked in. POE 2 is just riding the baked in functionality, which is why you have to choose between controller or keyboard, can't mix. If your pedal is not recognized or have support to act as a recognized controller it's most likely a driver issue. You are probably better off asking the manufacturer of the pedal on how to get it to emulate a controller bind.. but then you would just be using mirrored binds , pedal and controller would do the same thing. If POE 2 allowed dual binding then you would probably be able to get your setup to work without any issues. |
