Curse supports

I have spent a couple of days testing curse supports and their applications. This my feedback (I have rewritten this multiple times)

Oh boy curses! There is a bunch of things here that are missing, synergistic, or buggy. Functionally a big downgrade from PoE 1 since recasting the curse doesn't cause the initial application to expire. Through this Impending Doom was nerfed. Curses are also expensive to cast which I want to know why this design choice.

Cursed Ground

Could be better. The ground AoE is small if you don't have it specced into on your passive tree. This DOES NOT SYNERGIZE WITH HEXBLAST. For some odd reason, removing the curse while the target is on the cursed ground will NOT REAPPLY the curse until they step off and then back on. I most likely assume this is a bug. However, there's one thing that Cursed Ground is good for.

HAND OF CHAYULA

The interaction between HoC and Cursed ground is amazing and I wish this remain a feature. With Cursed Ground linked to HoC, the curse applied has an infinite duration until the target dies or the curse is removed. This is such a nice quality of life change because recasting spells in this game eats through your mana so quickly. One application of HoC with Cursed ground and your boss fight is made slightly easier. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF KITAVA DO NOT REMOVE THIS INTERACTION.

Hand of Chayula as a skill has issues as well. Sometimes the attack will not connect even though it can't be evaded and in most situations, it won't attack the target you intend because it stops on the first body it hits. This attack does not have any real meaningful scaling and there's little way to improve its damage as it does not have any Physical scaling and only scales with Chaos Damage, Melee Attack Damage, and Unarmed attack damage. Most of which is scarce and on the other side of the passive tree. Would be very much appreciated if this attack is was "Converts % of Physical Damage to Chaos damage" and gave it base Physical damage.
Decaying Hex

This is the intended DoT to use with your curses to spread with Contagion using a percentage of your intelligence. This is a fine ability. The issue with Decaying hex is that its duration is independent from the curse itself. Since the DoT isn't tied to the curse, with the previous interaction, the DoT will run out and it will have to be reapplied again. Assuming the previous interaction wasn't intended, this means I would, in Act 3, have to spend 239 mana to reapply this DoT to a pack, rare, or boss. This only bodes ill for the current only build of Chaos classes. With Decaying Hex, it can be a struggle to cast Contagion right after if the mob is weak enough but then become too costly to maintain against bosses. There are two solutions in mind. The first is to have the DoT tied to the curse. As long as the curse is applied to a target, it will continue to apply its damage. The other is to reduce the cost curses to a marginal level.

Also as it stands, when using Blasphemy with Decaying Hex linked, the DoT is NOT applied. I'm assuming this wasn't intentional but if it was it makes me very sad that it doesn't work.

Hex Bloom

hex Bloom does not exist because its better version, Contagion, does it job better. Hex Bloom does not always work and doesn't work with decaying hex like it should. However, fixing hex Bloom will also not work as it will take up what little space we have for our supports and will most likely make Curses and Contagion more clunky to play.

Blasphemy

Blasphemy is very weak. 60 spirit per curse reserved. Does not trigger impending doom on its own. Decaying Hex does not work with it nor does Burning Inscription. It is genuinely not worth using unless you're playing Hexblast or trying to achieve the Impending Doom build from PoE 1 but in PoE 2. Since the change to how curses are applied, impending doom can't be used with it.

This is my current feedback on curses and hopefully the future supports for curses bring more diversity to PoE 2. As it stands, it's just another Int + Mana stacker.
