PoE2 Review : What to keep and what to fix/change

Hi there,

I've played Path of Exile 1 since the beta, from time to time (not all the leagues), and not recently (too many content in my opinion with a huge gap between some charachers DPS regarding the cost of gear).

I would like to point out some cool things and flaws in Path of Exile 2 (I have about 150h played) :

Pro :
- The new Atlas (if it's infinite it's really cool), really nice features from past leagues on POE1, towers are really cool.
- The new gem system : pretty cool, some flaws but nice. Now it's not really mono-skill.
- The Spirit system : Usefull, but really sad that "blink" which seems to be the only skill that change the dodging roll cost 60 spirits (on builds that required spirit you can't have it, and "lightning warp" is now different).
- Guild Hideout : nice new feature, hope to be expanded in the future.
- The right click on channels to change channel easier.
- More classes and ascendancies.
- Game is very beautiful.
- Atlas passive tree is a nice add, even if the special nodes are a bit hard to get (i.e. : Delirium, Expedition, etc...).
- Really feels like a new game, not an update of PoE1.
- Thanks for adding bigger cursors recently!
- Markers pointings toward the objectives of the map after clearing X% of it are very useful.

Cons/Fixes :
- My map stash is nowhere to be found, and I can't find it on the shop??? It was one of the most useful ones.
- The flask stash is kinda useless since you remove quicksilver flasks and other ones, and I miss those a lot.
- Removing affixes from flasks : like "remove poison/bleed on use" is a bit anoying.
- Charms : I don't know if they don't work at all or they're just useless, but the mechanic involved is a bit lame, making poison and bleed more deadly than ever.
- RNG : The game is way more difficult than the first, that's okay, but there's way more RNG based content (orbs effects were changed for example). So, for someone with no luck like me, it's a bit frustrating (like trials, a lot!!)
- Removing "add life" from the passive tree make it difficult to have a correct amount of it, and the items with theses affixes are quite expensives.
- We can't level up or add quality on support gems : I have huge mana issues and my clarity is just a basic clarity.
- The maps in Act 3 are way to big (I know, you probably heard this one a lot).
- Can't access Act 3 public parties from your Hideout, you have to go to the Act 3, it was a feature in PoE 1, please make it back! Especially since there's still a dc bug in town when opening mpa there.
- Gem stash : maybe add something to differenciate "uncut skill gems" from "uncut spirit gems".
- Punitive maps : you die it's over, you can't re-enter the map and you've lost all the modifiers in it.
- Implicits on belts are too few : you got one for armor, none for evasion or energy shield.
- No damage immunity during interractions : I think especially about the "Augury" map : when you pull a lever, which take way too long, you can die, also it brick the map rendering it impossible to open the door in the middle.
- bash from monster need to be nerfed : when I get stun It's a 75% death rate.
- Some pathinding are a bit messy and you would end up getting stucked against an invisible wall or a thing that seems you could walk there (but in fact no), surrounded by monsters and die.

Adds (please!) :

- Hide allies skills effects (in group some builds are all over the screen, we can't see foe AoE, chilled/etc grounds, and it would be nice for people with lower graphic settings
- Auto pick-up currencies (would be great to have that, maybe a checkbox, or maybe customizing it for each type of currency).
- An auto level-up maps system? I know we can do it with the "reforging bench", but it's way to slow since Doryani only sell T4 and T5 to me.
- Can't see/change all the key binding in game options (ex : how to link an item to the chat) : I use a french keyboard, but play the game in english, while switching to QWERTY keyboard, I know it's "Alt Gr" in french, but I don't know in QWERTY and can't change it in options.


PS : I know it's an Early Access, but I'd really like some changes made before the game release. Keep up the good work team!

I would also add :

- Seeing the host server region when looking for public parties.
And :

- Shades (monsters) being able to able to disappear while being frozen, they're anoying enough without that...
