Constant Hardcrashes bricked my PC even with [Temporary Fixes]
" Hi Admins, I'd like to submit this report since the game recently caused my PC to Freeze needing hard resets. But recently all the temporary fixes (multithreading-etc etc.) people keep mentioning seems to have prevented this Laptop i play the game on to even boot up anymore. Mutual Sequence of Events: 1. Finished Defeating a Boss in ACT1 Cruel in the Crypt 2. Warp Portal to town > Then it froze my PC. 3. Did a Hard Reset Started Back up in the Crypt. 4. Warp Portal to town > Success 5. Stayed in town organizing my Stash > game froze again after 15 minutes. 6. Did another hard reset. 7. Before booting it up again Changed Some Steam Settings on Startup (--noasync --nologo --waitforpreload) 8. Launched POE2 > Opened task Manager > Set Affinity > Unticked 0 & 1. 9. Alt+Tab back into the game: Changed the following settings " 10. Launched the game by logging in > It Froze. 11. Attempted another hard reset and now my Laptop won't turn on, or even have a charging indicator on. I've decided to to bring it to the ASUS Service Center to see what really happened tomorrow, at the moment i can't post any pc analysis specs since i can't even turn it on. I'll post more details about if the bricking bootup was caused by the constant Freeze Crashing, PC or Ingame Settings applied or if it was just faulty hardware. I hope in the meantime you could look into this. I can't provide any PC Analysis specs since as mentioned it totally killed off my Laptop and won't even charge anymore. - New Player for Early Access Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 10:47:27 PM

Update:[23/12/24]
Brought my Laptop for Repair to the ASUS Service Center. Results From Asus Center Quick Diagnosis: 1. Possible SSD Corruption - Cause Unknown 2. Weakening of Power Button Mechanical Spring. 3. RAM Failure Socket 2 [Possible Power Surge] - For Replacement 4. Motherboard - No visible issues 5. GPU - For Replacement I asked why the GPU was for replacement - they mentioned most Laptop GPU's last for 2-3 years for heavy use. And if playing POE2 Software could have caused the damage, and they mentioned it could have been one of many factors but the game should be running fine given the specs they posted on STEAM. What they don't understand is why it would freeze and it would force the user to hard-reset every so often. Per Recommendation: Scrap Laptop for Parts and buy a new one. I've bought this laptop in October of 2022 for Travel-Business/Gaming Purposes, and now i have to put it to rest. So just to test my theory: I Re-installed POE2 on another Desktop PC i have at home, and its still crashing, im out of options i don't know what to do. Are my computer specs still poor as this community is pointing out? i don't even fucking know anymore. " - New Player for Early Access Last edited by Delay#5504 on Dec 22, 2024, 10:48:46 PM
