Pathfinder's "Contagious Contamination" ascendancy is worse than a 30 spirit skill gem.

The affect of Contagious Contamination is the same as a level 1 Herald of Plague, minus the hinder effect. This ascendancy is not unique and doesn't even stack with Herald of plague. Overall it saves the player 30 spirit and a skill slot at most.

And the Warrior has an ascendency node that doesn't do anything but expand inventory.
It's a tax node that only exists so the one after it costs 4 points instead of 2. |

also saving 30 spirit might enable you to get blink into your build a lot easier

" Oh yeah it's definitely a tax node since the Overwhelming Toxicity passive after is very strong, but it's also extremely lame that it's literally a worse copy paste of a spirit gem. At least the warrior backpack tax node is unique. In fact even if the Contagious Contamination ascendancy just gave the player the Herald of Plague skill for free it would still be nicer since at least then it would scale or you could put support gems in it. |
