The main problem with melee in POE 2.

Ranged combat feels amazing - you can move in every direction with WASD and keep shooting/casting. However, that is not the case for melee.
Instead we've got long-winded twirly salto 360 spinkicks that feel restrictive. Having the characters constantly moving by themselves while attacking completely nullifies the freedom of movement we've been promised.
While yes, we still can change direction of attack mid-combo, following the cursor, and dodge-roll out of it, it's still restrictive and feels bad.
Not to mention because of constant movement forward sometimes characters just glitch out and move in other direction, while trying to follow its target. You'll hit the boss several times and then the character will just go the other way for the next attack because they are too close to the target.

Just let us use melee attacks while keeping the freedom of movement with WASD, same as ranged combat!

I agree that some skills take too long to cast, like the vaulting impact and the whirling assault. This makes them almost not usable at all.

I do honestly like the movement with WASD a lot. I haven't had an issue with that as a melee at all.
What I mean is that melee would've felt WAY better if we could WASD move WHILE using melee strikes, instead of character moving by themselves during animation.
