Jarngreipr unique gloves do not allow upgrading skill gems despite letting you use and equip them

The jarngreipr unique gloves allow your Strength to be used for the requirements of any melee weapon or melee skill.

However, the gemcutting UI doesn't reflect this. This means you can't use uncut gems to raise the level of your skill gems, you instead have to create new ones. Meaning you don't get to keep quality or extra sockets on your gems.
