I just had to learn through a reddit thread that armour gives a NEGATIVE movement speed modifier

Why isnt this information given to me from within the game.
why when i Alt+click my armour doesnt it give me this information.

When i click on the stats page, scroll down to movement speed. why can i not click this stat and it shows me exactly where / how this value is built up.

It is like that since poe1. The body armor and shields slow you movement. Their base matter pure armor type will give you a higher decrease in movemenet speed. (5% from armour base type and 3% for es base type if I remember, so 9% if you have body armour and armour shield base.)

Because there are many stats that are just hidden in this game. It's always been like that. 3rd party tools are way better at actually teaching you what is happening and showing you correct stats. DPS tooltips on skills are also a complete mess in PoE 1 and are incorrect 90% of the time lol

I thought I felt more sluggish, especially when dodge-rolling. That's it, I'm ditching the shield.
It shows you on the in game stats panel

There’s nothing directing you to look at it though I suppose
Wow I didn't know this. No wonder I felt something was off when I wore a full strength mail as compared to strength and dex
