How do I access this Hideout node?

I finally unlocked the endgame maps and was disappointed to see that the Hideout node can't be accessed. There is no connection to it and it's sister node. How am I supposed to access this and obtain my Hideout?

Perhaps there's a node in the mist across the water, take the tower and it might reveal one over there which connects.

Well, I did the tower and it revealed.... there is still no connection to those nodes. Not sure what to try now.
