Temple of Chaos Trial 10 only drops 1 fate

I understand that you need 3 fates to unlock the trial master at the end of completing 10 trials. I completed 10 trials and the last boss on trial 10 only dropped 1 fate. How am I supposed to get the other 2 fates? Am I supposed to run the 10 trials 3 times just to get the fates?

you have to do the trials 3x for 3 different fates and yes you can get the same one over and over I did took me 6 runs in total. GGG back to the ol time waisting but this time we paid for it

does it consume the 3 fates if you lose on trialmaster?
