Too much RNG, my honest review of PoE 2.

Campaign:
Okay overall, but having only one waypoint within huge maps is really annoying. The respawn of mobs upon death makes exploration often tedious. Ascension and Trials: The Honor system is simply absurd, frustrating, exhausting, and boring for an ARPG. It turns the gameplay experience into a "no hit run" a la Dark Souls, with the added problem of extreme randomness, making it even more frustrating. The Chaos Temple is the pinnacle of randomness so much effort for nothing. It's like a poker game where you can't see the cards or the opponents, and you get probably nothing useful. It's pointless. Crafting and Drops: Crafting is a slot machine, pure RNG, to the point where it's absurd to invest resources and time in the process. It's better to obtain the item you need through online trading, with all that it entails... Completely random drops (pure RNG) that aren't related to the character's class make progression a nightmare. Farming is frustrating and futile for the reasons mentioned above so, unfortunately, the only solution is to use the trade system via the website (poorly designed, to say the least)... hours wasted sending messages to players who don't respond: boring and nerve-wracking. Item resistances and the inability to remove runes from sockets even take away the joy of finding a new rare or unique item. Changing a single item will compromise your total resistances, leading to more frustration. Endgame: An endless repetition of the mechanics mentioned above. The maps are a lost bet against RNG on top of RNG filled with RNG, with the only goal being to farm currency and trade items via the damn website. More time spent sending messages through the browser! At the moment, my experience with PoE 2 can be considered finished. I'll come back eventually if something significant changes. Best regards.
